Information: Students pursuing a career in hospitality, tourism or food services. Your application must be submitted to your college or university directly.

Due date: March – check with your university or college (Maritime education institutions that qualify: NSCC, Holland College, Mount Saint Vincent University) for specific deadline date.


Future Health Research and Innovation Scholarship

Amount: $2,500 (three available)

Information: Grade 12 student in the Maritimes and will continue post-secondary education at a Maritime institution (college or university) in a field that will enhance research and/or innovation in health care.

Information: This award goes towards funding to help live life to the fullest. The award could be put towards an educational endeavor, engagement in sports, or investment in a travel experience – all pursuits that would have resonated with Stacey.

Beaverbrook Vimy Prize

Amount: Covers all expenses associated with education trip to Europe

Information: The Beaverbrook Vimy Prize is a prestigious two-week-long learning experience during which exceptional youth, 15-17 years of age, study the interwoven First and Second World War history of Canada, Great Britain, and France. Scheduled for August 9-23, 2018 in England, Belgium, and France, students will attend lectures at Oxford University, visit former battlefields, trenches and underground tunnels, as well as visit museums and cemeteries, tour the new Vimy Visitor Education Centre and explore monuments such as the Canadian National Vimy Memorial.  Canadian, British, and French prize recipients will also participate in commemorative ceremonies and meet a few of the remaining veterans and members of the French Resistance.

Information: Preference may be given to daughters or sons of ordained clergy, elementary or secondary school teachers, Canadian military personnel, graduates of a Canadian Military College, members of the Engineering Institute of Canada and members of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Canada. Information: Indigenous Arts & Storiesinvites Canadians of Indigenous ancestry (self-identified, Status, Non-Status, Inuit and Métis) between the ages of 6 and 29 to submit a piece of creative writing or two-dimensional art about their identity, heritage, culture, or a moment or theme in Indigenous history. Your entry into the Indigenous Arts & Stories competition must include a brief statement explaining how your piece explores Indigenous heritage and culture. Participants can win up to $2,000 and have their work published or exhibited!
